Born in Algeciras in 1964, he spent his early childhood in the nearby town of Los Barrios before his family relocated to Seville when he was six years old. Growing up in the vibrant cultural milieu of Andalusia, Solo immersed himself in the local music scene, initially playing bass and singing with the group Hacienda Somos Todos and later joining Libertad Provisional. His musical journey continued as he became a member of Arden Lágrimas and ultimately the lead vocalist of the rock band Los Relicarios, a collaboration that saw him share the stage with noted guitarist Santi Amodeo and produce two albums, Detentebala (1991) and Doblegado a sus pies (1994).
