Kerry Fox (born Kerry Lauren Fox on 30 July 1966) is a distinguished New Zealand actress whose career has spanned over three decades. Born in Lower Hutt, Wellington, she honed her craft at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, graduating in 1987 with a Diploma in Acting, and quickly rose to prominence after delivering a compelling portrayal of author Janet Frame in Jane Campion’s An Angel at My Table, earning a Best Actress Award at the New Zealand Film and Television Awards. Her early work demonstrated a fearless commitment to complex characters, a trait that would define her subsequent international projects.
