John Schuck: Movies & Box Office

Conrad John Schuck Jr. (born February 4, 1940) is an American film, stage, and television actor. He is perhaps most recognized for his role as Sergeant Charles Enright in the popular 1970s crime drama McMillan & Wife. Additionally, Schuck left a memorable impression with audiences as Herman Munster in the late-1980s to early 1990s sitcom The Munsters Today, a reprisal of the character originally brought to life by Fred Gwynne in 1960s sitcom The Munsters. Away from terrestrial television, Schuck was known for being a frequent face in the Star Trek franchise, often seen portraying formidable Klingon characters. His repertoire also included recurring roles in the science fiction series Babylon 5 and the position of Chief of Detectives Muldrew in the New York City Police Department in Law & Order. Schuck was first spotted by acclaimed Hollywood director Robert Altman while performing at the American Conservatory Theater. His debut on the big screen was as Captain Walter Kosciuszko 'Painless Pole' Waldowski in Altman's classic film, MAS*H (1970). He also experienced Broadway, making his debut playing Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in the musical comedy Annie. In more recent years, Schuck has performed in films such as Holy Matrimony and String of the Kite, as well as making appearances on stage. His latest engagement was in writer/director Chris Blake's indie horror film, All Light Will End.
