John Charles MacKenzie, better known as J.C. MacKenzie, is a renowned Canadian actor, active in the entertainment industry since 1985. He gained fame for brilliantly portraying the character Skip Fontaine in HBO series Vinyl (2016) and Reagan 'Normal' Ronald in Fox series Dark Angel from 2000 to 2002. MacKenzie's versatility as an actor is reflected in his rich filmography, including several iconic films directed by Martin Scorsese such as The Departed (2006), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), and The Irishman (2019).

MacKenzie was born in Peterborough, Ontario, on October 17, 1970, and raised in Ottawa. His journey to stardom started in the world of theatre where he worked for several years until getting picked by Neil Simon for a national tour of Simon's play Biloxi Blues. This paved his way towards television success, leading to his breakthrough performance as Arnold Spivak in the Emmy Award-winning television series Murder One.
