Demi Lovato (born Demetria Devonne Lovato on 1992-08-20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an American singer, songwriter and actress whose career began at age nine when she was cast as Angela on Barney & Friends (2002‑2004). She quickly became a Disney Channel staple, starring in the short series As the Bell Rings (2007‑2008) and achieving breakout fame as Mitchie Torres in the musical film Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010). Her debut single “This Is Me”, a duet with Joe Jonas, reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, and her first album Don’t Forget (2008) debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200, establishing her as a pop‑rock powerhouse.
