Clark Johnson, born September 10, 1954, is an admired American-Canadian actor, as well as a notable director, with a distinguished body of work in both television and film. Johnson is famous for his portrayals of various compelling characters, namely David Jefferson in 'Night Heat' (1985–1988), Clark Roberts in 'E.N.G.' (1989–1994), Meldrick Lewis in 'Homicide: Life on the Street' (1993–1999), and Augustus Haynes in 'The Wire' (2008). Moreover, his talent has been recognized by the industry, receiving an Emmy Award and two Genie Award nominations during his career. He began appearing in films in 1981, with roles in different genres, demonstrating his remarkable range. His early roles in films include 'Killing 'em Softly', 'Colors', 'Wild Thing', 'Adventures in Babysitting', and 'Nowhere to Hide'.
