Born as Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers on October 1, 1989, in Sacramento, California, Brie Larson is a renowned American actress and filmmaker known for her dynamic roles in independent films and blockbusters. She earned her professional name from her French-Canadian father's difficulty pronouncing 'Desaulniers'. Playing supporting roles in comedies as a teenager, she expanded to more prominent roles and earned numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award. Not only is she a successful actress, but Larson is quite influential, being named among Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2019.
