Alastair John Mackenzie (born 8 February 1970) is a Scottish actor and writer whose career spans stage, television, and film. Born in the rural village of Trinafour near Perth, he was educated at the prestigious Westbourne House School and later at Glenalmond College in Perthshire, where his early interest in performance began to blossom. At eighteen he left the Scottish Highlands for London, immersing himself in the vibrant theatre scene and honing his craft through a variety of roles that showcased his versatile talent.
