ZsaZsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh 2006

Ada, BB. Gandanghari, a gay beautician from the Philippines, spends her days with her best friend/assistant Didi Chokoleit in a tight-knit little town. One quiet evening, while Ada is taking a bath, a meteor crashes through the bathroom roof and strikes her on the head. Startled but curious, Ada tells Didi what happened, and the ever-practical Didi convinces her to swallow the meteor/rock in case it might grant her superpowers, just like a famous local hero. They notice the word Zaturnnah engraved on the rock, and with a bold decision, Ada swallows it. She shouts “Zaturnnah!” and, in a puff of smoke, transforms into a voluptuous, red-headed woman with fantastic strength. Ada’s world tilts, but she embraces the change and renames her superhero persona as Zsazsa Zaturnnah.

As Zaturnnah, Ada soon discovers her powers extend beyond mere strength. She and Didi face a series of strange events popping up around town—odd disturbances, the undead-like zombies, and even a fearsome giant frog. Through it all, she is supported by Dodong, her love interest, Alfred Vargas, and the loyal companionship of Didi. The trio navigates these surreal occurrences while trying to keep Ada’s secret safe, and they begin to realize that her new identity could reshape their lives in unexpected ways. The town feels both awe and fear as power and vulnerability collide in Ada’s newly awakened form, and the feelings between Ada and Dodong grow deeper as they stand by each other.

Then a wilder turn arrives from beyond the stars. Zaturnnah encounters beings from outer space—the Amazonistas from the Planet XXX, led by the fearless Queen Femina, Pops Fernandez. They reveal a backstory: on their planet, centuries of male oppression led to a revolt that transformed all men into pigs. They invite Zaturnnah to join their ranks, but she declines the invitation, staying true to her own world and choices. Queen Femina challenges Zaturnnah to a duel to the death, a clash that promises to be as much about identity as about power. The battle begins with intensity, and at first it seems they might be evenly matched, a true test of strength and will.

In the heat of combat, Zaturnnah makes a drastic decision. Rather than submit, she refuses to join and, with a decisive move, regurgitates the rock and reverts to her male form. He then shoves the rock into Queen Femina’s mouth, transforming her into a “male pig,” a reversal that sends the Amazonistas scrambling. The dramatic turn leaves Ada reeling and physically weakened, but Dodong arrives just in time to rescue her. Ada confesses her love for Dodong, and he reciprocates, affirming their bond. The scene shifts to a new path for the couple as Ada decides to move to Manila, and Dodong asks if he can join her on this next chapter. Although Ada initially doubts his sincerity, she is ultimately convinced.

With the future uncertain, the two begin a life together along the Manila rail lines. Their happiness feels tangible, a new normal taking shape, yet fate has another twist in store: as the couple settles into this new life, another meteor hurtsles from the sky and strikes Ada once more, hinting that her extraordinary journey—and the love she shares with Dodong—will continue to unfold in unexpected ways.
