He comes to live with Mr. Kapoor’s family, where Mrs. Kapoor, Sulabha Deshpande, is his mother’s friend and a steady, grounding presence in the home. Kapoor’s daughter Deepti, Ashwini Bhave, quietly loves Anirudh, a sentiment that remains largely unspoken as life in the household goes on.
