In 1869 the United States launches a railroad mail service to the West Coast, attracting a bold gang that even hires the service’s own guardian. Former army intelligence operative and prizefighter Steve Davis is recruited to stop them. He goes undercover in a territorial prison, learns Morse code, breaks out, infiltrates the gang, and falls for dance‑hall singer Mary, who proves to have unexpected courage.
