What Is Wahadełko About?
The premise of Wahadełko without spoilers.
Michal Szmańda lives with epilepsy, depression and other ailments, relying on the devoted care of his sister Aniela. Their modest kitchen hosts a tiny “garden,” the only bright spot in Aniela’s daily routine. The siblings were raised apart from their mother, a Stalin‑era labor leader whose devotion to the new ideology left the household neglected. As a child Michael was sent to a sanatorium and never received a Christmas visit from her, a rejection that scarred him for life.
