Spoilers ahead
Vallavan Silambarasan is a carefree college student whose lighthearted approach to life and love draws him toward Swapna Nayanthara after a chance encounter at a temple. Swapna, a lecturer who is three years his senior, becomes the object of Vallavan’s affection, and he hatches a plan to win her over by becoming Pallan, an ugly duckling persona with buck teeth and thick glasses. Pallan, played by Silambarasan, wins Swapna’s heart more with the warmth of his heart than with his face, and she slowly falls for the person she thinks Pallan is.
