Two neighboring villages, Puliyankulam and Veppankulam, stand side by side, bound by a feud that stretches across generations and shapes every choice the people make. In Puliyankulam, Periyasamy—a widely respected Hindu elder—keeps the community anchored with his steady wisdom and quiet authority. From Veppankulam, Michael is a devout Protestant who carries a deep mistrust for people of other faiths, a stance that colors his every decision.

In the same region, Sakthivel, Periyasamy’s son, studies at a college in Nagercoil. At the same college, Angel, Angel, Michael’s daughter, begins to navigate the complexities of love that cross the religious divide. The two meet there and, despite the long-standing tensions between their communities, they find themselves drawn to one another and slowly fall in love.

Angel fears that her father will never permit a marriage to a Hindu from the rival village, a worry that shadows their growing bond. When Michael and Periyasamy learn about the relationship, emotions flare: Michael scolds his daughter, while Periyasamy remains practical and supportive of the couple’s wishes.

Michael, however, does not want an inter-religion marriage and resorts to drastic measures, attempting to compel his daughter to become a nun. The family’s tensions rise as the community watches the escalating dispute.

In a crucial turning point, Periyasamy steps forward and speaks frankly in front of everyone, revealing a truth that changes the course of the story: Angel Devi is Michael Susai’s adopted daughter, and her real name is Fathima Begum, born to Muslim parents Jaffer Hussain and Ayesha Beevi. This revelation shakes Michael’s rigid stance and brings a new sense of understanding. Realizing the gravity of his mistake, Michael finally agrees to the wedding, allowing the couple to move forward together.
