As Mexico prepares to host the 1968 Olympics, student protests and civilian demonstrations challenge the authoritarian government, placing immense pressure on President Gustavo Diaz Ordaz. Amidst the rising tensions, Ana Maria, a photography student and daughter of a government official, becomes involved in the movement and develops a relationship with Félix, an architecture student from a working-class background. The film portrays the events leading up to the tragic Tlatelolco massacre, which occurred just ten days before the Olympic Games began, marking a dark period in Mexico’s history.
