What Is Time Stood Still About?

Two middle‑aged caretakers tend a remote dam site high in the snow‑capped Italian Alps. When one departs for a Christmas visit, an adolescent boy replaces him. The remaining man is irritated yet fascinated by the boy’s loud music, late‑morning sleep and teetotalism. After an avalanche cuts power to their hut, they slowly form a quiet bond.
