Spoilers ahead
In Milan, Alberto Francisco Rabal and Sandrino Riccardo Garrone meet by chance on a crowded street after years apart, and their reunion rekindles the easy warmth and shared jokes of a youth spent in each other’s company.
Sandrino offers to track down the others — Cesarino Walter Chiari and the rest — to spend an evening like in the good old days.
Cesarino, once the group’s spark who steered its social life, now runs a small suburban cinema for his uncle, a modest job that keeps a thread of connection to old friends even as money is tight.
That night unfolds through telephone pranks, along-the-road glances, and meetings with a gallery of quirky characters, as the city’s streets echo with memories.
