What Is Thunderbolt About?
The premise of Thunderbolt without spoilers.
In a grim prison, hardened criminal Thunderbolt (George Bancroft) faces execution. He is assigned a cellmate, Bob Moran (Richard Arlen), an innocent man falsely convicted who has unknowingly fallen for Thunderbolt’s girlfriend (Fay Wray). Thunderbolt plots to delay his own death long enough to eliminate Moran for daring to love his lover.
