Each summer, 10-year-old Dune and her family vacation to the southwestern coast of France, where she reunites with her best friend Mathilde. Their days are filled with adventures in pine forests, observing the clouds, following older teenagers, and enjoying secret horror movie viewings. This year, however, feels different as Dune discovers her family missed the previous year's trip without explanation. She senses a change and begins to question the adults and teenagers around her, experiencing a shift in her perception of childhood and uncovering hidden truths.
