What Is This Is The Future About?
The premise of This Is The Future without spoilers.
This art installation explores the potential of artificial intelligence to predict the future. Artist Hito Steyerl uses AI technology to create a digital garden mimicking the Venetian landscape, complete with elevated walkways. Viewers wander among simulated flowers that progress through their lifecycle, all without actually existing. Through this self-created technology, Steyerl questions whether AI can accurately foresee what’s to come, ultimately concluding that it cannot.
