What Is The Revenge About?
The premise of The Revenge without spoilers.
On a winter day in a Polish castle split between a fatalistic notary and the niece of a volatile veteran soldier, long‑standing enmity between the old soldier Cupbearer and the notary threatens the romance of the niece Klara and the notary’s son Waclaw. The tongue‑tongued Cupbearer enlists the boastful courtier Papkin to pursue a suit for the hand of the widow Hanna, and Papkin succeeds.
