The film unfolds as a tense mission centered on a secret weather-control project called Prospero. After a mysterious sabotage appears to target the project, the Ministry summons the spy duo, John Steed and Dr. Emma Peel, to get to the bottom of it. The pair are told that Peel herself is suspected, a charge she vehemently denies. The stakes are high, and the Ministry wastes little time in assigning Peel to work alongside Steed to uncover the real culprit. The situation is complicated by a troubling claim from the Ministry’s second-in-command, known only as Father, who suggests Peel might be experiencing dissociative identity disorder.
