David Welch [Benjamin Walker] has been suspended from college, and along with two friends, Greg [Victor Rasuk] and George [Brian J. -Mexico border*, alerting border patrol to illegal crossings and calling themselves The War Boys. David is angry at his father, who won’t allow him to leave school to work in the family trucking business. David devises a plan to hijack one of his father’s trucks, expecting it to be carrying a shipment of black market TVs from Mexico. The trio succeeds in stealing the truck and temporarily parks it in a desolate area while they search for a buyer. David’s father, Slater [Peter Gallagher], vows revenge against the thieves; he is deeply upset by the loss and does not see it merely as a business setback.
