What Is The Very Strange Story of the Legendary Joe Meek About?
The premise of The Very Strange Story of the Legendary Joe Meek without spoilers.
The film follows Joe Meek, the groundbreaking pop composer and record‑producer whose dramatic 1967 death capped a turbulent life. From a strange childhood through a controversial career that began in the mid‑1950s and peaked as the Beatles emerged, Meek later suffered paranoid delusions that he was being watched through walls. Director Alan Lewens charts an Ortonesque portrait of post‑war Britain.
