What Is The Pied Piper of Hamelin About?
The premise of The Pied Piper of Hamelin without spoilers.
In 1376, the town of Hamelin is plagued by swarms of hungry rats until a mysterious piper arrives. He enchants the vermin with his music, leading them in a lively dance out of the town and straight into the river, where they drown. When the city’s greedy officials refuse to honor their promised payment, the piper exacts revenge. He plays again, this time drawing every child of Hamelin toward a magical mountain portal, from which they vanish forever.
