Fiona subsequently returns to her home in Cross Creek, reuniting with her husband Sam and their daughter Melinda. Initially, their reunion seems warm and joyful, with her family warmly embracing her return. However, the tranquility is short-lived, leading to a tragic turn of events as Fiona ultimately kills her daughter Melinda and then Sam, before taking her own life. This shocking sequence of violence raises numerous questions and sets off a complex investigation led by Detectives Goodman and Wilson. A year later, the house is again home to an older couple, Faith and William Matheson. Faith begins experiencing disturbing visions and connections with Melinda’s spirit.
