What Is The Golden Demon About?
The premise of The Golden Demon without spoilers.
In 1890 Tokyo, Kan‑ichi ends his engagement to Miya when her family marries her to banker’s son Tomiyama. Despair drives him to quit his studies, apprentice to a money‑lender and become cold. Years later, Miya, miserable with Tomiyama, begs forgiveness, but he rejects her. Pursued by Akagashi, he must decide if he can free himself from the demon.
