What Is The Frozen North About?

A biting satire of William S. Hart’s melodramatic westerns, the film places Buster in a bleak frozen north described as the “last stop on the subway.” He enlists a wanted poster as an accomplice to rob a gambling house, then, convinced he has caught his wife in an affair, shoots both lovers—only to discover the scene took place in a cabin that isn’t his.
