The Crime of Ovide Plouffe 1984
Ovide Plouffe is married to Rita, who continues to flirt with other men. Dissatisfied, Ovide becomes infatuated with Marie, a young French woman he meets, but his Catholic upbringing and social pressures prevent him from pursuing a new relationship or divorcing Rita. He ends his affair with Marie and arranges a trip with Rita in hopes of reconciliation, but at the last moment tells her he cannot go. Rita travels alone, the plane crashes, and Ovide is arrested on suspicion of causing the disaster.
