The case takes a sharper turn when Julia disappears. Sam pursues her trail to a dark, tense apartment where he discovers Carlo dead and Julia bound and gagged. The chilling sight is compounded when Monica, wearing a black raincoat, appears at the doorway, laughing melodramatically and revealing herself as the killer behind the string of murders.
