Spoilers ahead
Giovanni Valerio Lundini Andreasi, a 34-year-old volunteer for the Adopted Children & Parents Association (FAeGN), learns that he is adopted and begins to drift away from his mother Gianna Carla Signoris. His discovery kicks off a quiet, persistent quest to understand where he truly comes from, a journey that tests not only his sense of belonging but also his relationship with the woman who raised him. The revelation is paired with a revealing barrier: an obscure law that would keep him from ever knowing the identity of his biological parents until he turns 100 years old. This absurd-sounding obstacle becomes the engine of the story, pushing Giovanni to seek help from the one living adopted centenarian in Italy, Gustavo Sergio Castellitto.
