Fifteen years after a brutal clash between Saravanan and Manimaaran, which left Saravanan unconscious and Manimaaran fleeing on a lorry, the town of Mettupalayam in Coimbatore District becomes a stage for family, politics, and buried secrets that refuse to stay hidden.

Now Gnanamoorthy, a rising politician, lives in a sunlit house in Mettupalayam with his wife Padma, their daughter Parvathy, and his paralyzed mother who relies on a wheelchair. Parvathy spends her days in sorrow, clinging to the hope that her aggressive younger brother will return and that some miracle could mend the fractures of the past. The family’s faith is tempered by the quiet dread that whatever happened fifteen years ago might rise again to threaten them all.

One day, Police Inspector Jeevanand phones with news that his long-lost son has been found. In truth, the person who arrives posing as Saravanan is Vicky, a smooth-talking goer of Goa who has reinvented himself as a tour guide and trickster. The reunion is met with joy by Padma and, at first, by Parvathy as well, who welcomes the man she believes could be her brother back from the shadows. Even Sanjana, Saravanan’s childhood friend and lover, rejoices at the return of “him.” Sanjana is eager to see the past rekindled, and the family faucets of affection begin to loosen.

Yet the surface happiness hides a deeper plot. Vicky’s arrival is part of a calculated plan orchestrated by Moorthy, who has every reason to keep the past buried. Jeeva’s role in the scheme becomes clear as the layers peel back: Vicky is meant to stay for a while, then help pull off a swift, lucrative exit. Moorthy’s ally, Karan, a cop, grows increasingly suspicious as he probes details about their childhood and the uncanny resemblance between the present visitor and the missing Saravanan.
