Balagopalan is a kind-hearted, humble young man who works as a modest employee at Falcon Products, trying to live a straightforward life in his hometown. He owns a small parcel of land that his elder sister and her husband aggressively try to grab, setting off a ripple of family tension that tests his patience and integrity. On a routine marketing visit for Falcon Products, he crosses paths with a schoolteacher named Anitha, and a gentle, sincere romance begins to unfold against the backdrop of everyday struggles.

As his love grows, Balagopalan makes a earnest, if flawed, effort to help Anitha’s father in a legal dispute. This well-meaning action backfires, and he loses the land he values so deeply. The setback is compounded when a labor union dispute costs him his job, placing him under financial strain and jeopardizing the stability of his family. In the midst of these hardships, Balagopalan’s younger sister, unable to secure a traditional arranged marriage, ends up marrying his friend Narayanankutty, a choice that adds another layer of complexity to the family dynamics.

The elder sister and her family eventually leave Balagopalan’s home after discovering that he no longer has land to offer, leaving him to shoulder responsibilities that once seemed distant. Meanwhile, Anitha’s father experiences a dramatic turn of fortune, winning the court case and accumulating wealth, yet he returns Balagopalan’s money only to keep his distance from the couple’s budding relationship. He even tries to arrange Anitha’s marriage to the very lawyer who fought his case, a move that wounds Balagopalan and fuels his resentment.

Despite the mounting obstacles, love endures. On the wedding day that seemed to define a new path for Anitha, she makes a bold decision and runs away to live with Balagopalan, choosing loyalty and affection over social expectation.
