What Is Strictly Business About?

Three O. Henry‑inspired tales. (1) Bob Tidball finds $30,000 in fresh credit cards, rides across the plains, but after his horse collapses he takes a stranger’s mount, is ambushed and slain by “Shark” Dodson, who claims the money. (2) A burglar enters through a third‑floor window to steal cash, but the sleeping homeowner awakens with only one hand free, forcing the thief to abandon the theft. (3) Small‑time grifters Sam and Bill, $2,000 short, kidnap Ebeneger Dorset’s son and demand that exact sum, launching a desperate ransom negotiation.
