Dr. Akash “Akki” Bhatnagar and his wife Maya are doctors who devote themselves to healing others. When malaria strikes India along the Burmese border, Maya rushes to help, despite Akash’s disapproval. Soon after, he receives word that Maya has died in a bus crash that plunged into water during heavy rains. The event unsettles him deeply, and the film’s mood lingers in the wake of that loss. The soundtrack even features a haunting moment with Shreya Ghoshal in the song “Har Taraf,” hinting at the emotional reach of Maya’s absence.
