Spoilers ahead
Jagga Jasoos follows the life of Jagga, a curious and shy boy growing up in a quaint town, whose world tilts when a high-profile political crisis—the Purulia Arms Drop of 1995—rattles the region. Jagga, who has a stammer, learns to express himself through song after his accident-prone adoptive father begins teaching him a musical way to speak. When his father suddenly disappears after Jagga is sent to boarding school, the boy is left with a single thread: a VHS tape that arrives every year on his birthday, a mysterious connection to a parent who seems to be leading a double life.
