Saath Saath (1982): Cast & Plot

Avinash Verma, Farooq Shaikh, is an idealistic M.A. student whose socialist beliefs and strict principles set him apart in a world that looks increasingly toward material success. He remains almost untouched by the era’s materialism and refuses to accumulate more wealth than is necessary. Although he is the son of a wealthy landowner, philosophical disagreements drive him to move out of his father’s house, choosing independence and a life shaped by conviction rather than convention. He earns a living as a freelance writer, shaping ideas with careful words and a steady voice, a path that suits his careful, principled nature.
