He lives in Bangalore with the rest of the troupe members and moves through life with a confident, showman-like presence. At an inaugural function, he is introduced to Athira Menon, a designer, and their encounter quickly sets a tone of sparkling chemistry and impulsive decisions. On the wedding eve of a friend, he spends a night with her, and the morning after reveals a mismatch in expectations: they aren’t meant to be together, so they part ways.

A doctor’s warning of complications arrives, and there is heartbreaking news: the child, a boy, will not survive.

Grief settles over Athira, and Ananth finds himself torn between his career ambitions and the fragile, growing bond he has with her. He has long planned a mega show in Australia that would last a year, and as they move through this painful chapter, both begin to sense a deepening pull toward each other, even as they hesitate to admit it. When the moment to depart for Australia arrives, Athira announces she will file for divorce and send the papers to Australia, and Ananth is taken aback, asking her to step out of the room. He heads to the airport in a taxi, passport and visa in hand, while Athira follows after him, calmly applying nail polish as if brushing off the tension.
