During the German occupation of a small Ardennes village, food is scarce and rationing almost impossible. Clovis, a humble labourer, riskily crosses the occupied zone to bring back enough potatoes to feed his family. Though his plan works, he swiftly becomes fixated on hoarding the precious tubers, leading to desperate behavior.
