Charlie Masceranhas, Abhishek Bachchan, is a calculating con artist who plasma-coins a plan after learning his friend Raj has been killed by the Russian mafia. At Raj’s funeral, his wife Shalia (played by Shweta Bhardwaj) hands Charlie a CD that reveals a transfer route for gold ingots by train from Russia to Romania. The discovery sets Charlie on a dangerous path, and he teams up with his mentor, a seasoned con man named Victor Braganza Vinod Khanna, to pull off a high-stakes heist.

They assemble a crack crew to carry out the robbery: Spider, a world-class hacker; Riya Thapar, a seductive and skilled automobile expert; Bilal Bashir, an explosives pro; Sunny, a prosthetic makeup artist; and Ronnie, a magician with stage-ready misdirection. Spider, Riya, Bilal, Sunny, and Ronnie each bring a distinct edge to the plan, and the group prepares for a heist that aims to exploit the guards’ routines and the rigidity of the Russian cargo operation.

Before the heist, Victor’s daughter Naina Braganza Sonam Kapoor Ahuja returns to India to meet her father when he’s released from prison, a reunion that adds emotional stakes to the scheme. The plan unfolds with Spider hacking into a Russian satellite system while Ronnie constructs an illusion to misdirect the guards, allowing the others to transfer the gold from the train. The robbery unfolds with precision, and Charlie communicates the success to Victor, but Naina overhears and realizes that Victor has slipped back into crime and broken a promise he had made to her.

As celebrations begin, Ronnie reveals a painful personal detail: his daughter is hospitalized due to paralysis after a terrible accident during one of his magic performances, and he hopes to help her recover. The mood shifts when Spider betrays the gang, claiming he learned about the gold from Shalia while seducing her, and he intends to flee with the entire stash. Ronnie tries to stop him, but Spider’s assassins shoot Ronnie, and the group is forced to chase down the fallout as Ronnie and Riya are killed in the crossfire.

Charlie, Bilal, and Sunny manage to escape as Spider detonates the operation and flees with the gold. In the chaos, Victor is murdered by Spider’s men, leaving Naina to cut all ties with Charlie. Over the next year, Charlie stretches out to gold dealers, tracing who might still possess the stolen treasure that Spider escaped with. The trail leads them to New Zealand, where the gang tracks a dealer connected to Spider.

Charlie explains to Naina that the group’s true aim was to fund Victor’s lifelong dream of building a large orphanage, a motive that complicates the pair’s relationship but eventually drives them toward revenge. In New Zealand, they learn that Riya is still alive and living there, and she confirms she wants revenge and provides information about Spider’s residence. Unbeknownst to them, Spider starts flirting with Naina and invites her to his villa, where a hidden camera in Naina’s dress reveals she is working with Charlie.

In a tense turn, Charlie bursts into Spider’s mansion in an armored truck to rescue Naina and declares his plan to steal all of the gold within 48 hours. Spider tries to relocate the gold to another country, but the gang storms in with three large trucks, hacks the traffic system, and seizes the gold, stashing it inside three Mini Coopers. Just as they prepare to depart New Zealand, they discover Riya has been working with Spider all along.

Spider attempts to force the gang to hand over the loot, but Riya shoots herself to avoid capture, and Spider stabs Charlie in a struggle. Sunny and Bilal intervene, beating Spider and allowing Naina to shoot him three times as revenge for Victor’s death. The twist deepens when it’s revealed that the Mini Coopers actually contain the gold themselves, and not just the containers. The four of them drive away, but Spider makes one last call to the Russian mafia, claiming that Charlie has stolen their gold.

The group returns to India with the real Minis, only to be stopped by the mafia who inspect the cars and find them empty. The truth surfaces—the “Mini Coopers” were forged from actual gold, a gleaming deception that ties together the entire operation. In the end, the players go their separate ways: Bilal starts a car dealership, Sunny pursues theatre, Charlie and Naina establish Victor’s orphanage, and Charlie raises Ronnie’s daughter as his own, turning a world of crime into a form of family and purpose.
