On Earth, the Hulk’s allies deem him too dangerous and decide to relocate him to a peaceful world to cool his rage, but fate has other plans. The Hulk [Rick D. Wasserman] awakens aboard the shuttle before it lands, and a sudden burst of fury shatters his restraints, tilting the craft off course and forcing a disastrous crash on the desert world of Sakaar. Imperial guards quickly secure him, and a gray obedience disk is affixed to his neck to control his strength and will. He is imprisoned with a band of outcasts who will soon become his unlikely crew: Hiroim [Liam O’Brien], Korg [Kevin Michael Richardson], Miek [Sam Vincent], Elloe Kaifi [Advah Soudack], Lavin Skee [Michael Kopsa], an Android [Lee Tockar], and a few hived natives. Together, they become part of a brutal gladiatorial system that feeds on spectacle and fear.
In the arena, their first test pits them against Korg’s brothers, the opening volley of a brutal schedule that tests their loyalty and resilience. Lavin Skee and the native fighters fall in the heat of combat, leaving the others to cling to hope and each other. The Hulk strides into the ring and clashes with the Red King’s regime, challenging the emperor’s authority and his order. Yet it is Caiera the lieutenant [Lisa Ann Beley] who stands at the edge of the arena, commanding the crowd and the guards with cool authority, and she proves to be a formidable foil for the Hulk. The Red King, watching from his throne, spares him for the moment to keep the masses invested, but behind the velvet of entertainment lurks a deeper scheme and a growing desire to see the Hulk dead.
As the battle rages, the rescued fighters form a bond that becomes a Warbound pact. The group shares their pasts, laying bare the scars of their former lives in a place where survival requires trust. Elloe Kaifi opens up about her own history, while Hiroim reveals the secret that has haunted them all: some civilians on Sakaar whisper that the Hulk is the true Sakaarson, a foretold savior. The Hulk resists the title, insisting that legends and destinies are not his to claim, even as their camaraderie deepens and their resolve hardens.
The second round of gladiatorial contests arrives with a new, mechanical foe—the Wildebots—and the Warbound fights with a renewed sense of purpose, each member pulling their weight in the arena’s brutal logic. Off the sands, Caiera shares her own painful backstory: as a child, her homeland was attacked by Spike forces, and the Red Prince—now the Red King—eliminated the attackers with his Deaths Head guards. Her pledge of allegiance to the prince is tempered by a growing fear that Hulk’s popularity could undermine the Red King’s grip on power. She begins to see a path to resistance, and her concern for the Hulk’s fate becomes a spark that will ignite later decisions.
That night, whispers of a trap float through the rebellion’s tunnels. Elloe slips away as a rescue attempt arrives, and the rest of the Warbound sense danger in the air. The stage is set for the third and final test: a match against Beta Ray Bill, forced to fight for his freedom under the discipline of an obedience disk. The two titans collide with thunderous force, their blows painting the arena with dust and danger. In a pivotal moment, Hulk’s blood on the dirt awakens life, hinting at his destiny and the larger power at work on Sakaar. Hulk shatters Bill’s obedience disk and presses an unyielding assault, pushing Bill to the brink.
Even as the Hulk dominates the final bout, the Red King declares the Warbound as free citizens—yet he demands Elloe’s execution to secure loyalty. The Warriors refuse, and the Red King orders their doom. Beta Ray Bill rises in a sudden, selfless turn and uses his hammer to obliterate all obedience disks in the colosseum, fracturing the Red King’s control and offering Hulk a chance to return to Earth. The Hulk declines Bill’s offer, and their paths diverge as Bill departs, while the Warbound slip away to a hidden resistance outpost and begin to chart their own futures. The Hulk follows a separate path, choosing to reclaim his own agency on Sakaar rather than submit to a throne.
The pursuit heats up when Caiera catches the Hulk as the Red King moves to end him. They collide in a fierce confrontation that culminates in a tense moment when Caiera spots a Spike ship on the horizon. The two—along with the Warbound—guide refugees to a nearby town and defend it against the Red King’s assault. In the ensuing chaos, the Spike threat is revealed to be the king’s own creation, a brutal weaponization of fear and control. A bomb devastates most of the cave, sparing the civilians who sought shelter. When the smoke clears, Caiera discovers the Hulk’s apparent death and carries the truth to the Red King: the Hulk is very much alive.
In a dramatic reversal, Hulk’s body is brought before the Red King as a trophy. Yet the Hulk emerges from the wreckage, stronger and more defiant, and the fight resumes with a ferocity that shatters the kingdom’s armor. Caiera, the shackled Warbound, and the Hulk’s revived life unite against the Red King’s guards. The clash explodes into a wider battle that redefines loyalty, power, and identity on Sakaar. The Red King’s downfall comes when his own spike infection spreads through his regime, ending his reign in a brutal, courtly instant of chaos.
With order restored, the Hulk embraces a new role as Sakaarson and ruler in name and in practice, but not without a family at his side. He stands with his queen, Caiera, and the Warbound as the proud guardians of Sakaar’s future. The planet’s citizens look to them as heroes who turned a savage gladiatorial world into a hopeful kingdom, and the Hulk’s saga becomes a testament to resilience, leadership, and the uneasy balance between power and responsibility on a world that is both alien and intimate.
