Abhinav “Chintu” Kumar Tyagi is an ordinary middle-class man from Kanpur, working as a government engineer in the Public Works Department (PWD), whose life quietly hums along beside his wife Vedika Tripathi, a devoted teacher from Lucknow. He and Vedika enjoy a stable if conventional routine, yet their happiness is dented by two pressures: his parents’ controlling expectations about starting a family, and Vedika’s desire to move to a bigger city. As the daily grind wears on him, Chintu starts craving something more, a sense of freedom he feels slipping away from the familiar walls of home.

Driven by restlessness, Chintu is drawn to Tapasya Singh, an aspiring fashion designer from Delhi who is connected to his boss and visiting to scout a plot for her business venture. Tapasya represents a spark of possibility beyond his routine life, and Chintu finds himself swept up in a whirlwind of new dates and bold plans. To maintain his image, he tells a convenient lie—that Vedika is having an affair with Rakesh Yadav, a classmate of Vedika who is deeply smitten with her, a claim that soon spirals out of control.

Meanwhile, Vedika’s own world shifts when she attends her cousin Kanupriya’s wedding and reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, Durgesh “Doga” Kanojia, a charmful local womanizer. The reconciliation of old feelings with a present life pressures Vedika to consider leaving the country with Doga in search of a fresh start in Canada. The situation grows thornier as Chintu travels to Tapasya’s Delhi home to meet her circle of friends; they party at a nightclub where Tapasya seduces a tipsy Chintu, testing the limits of his conscience and his commitment to Vedika.

Chintu soon understands the depth of his wrongdoing, but the realization comes too late. Vedika reveals that she is leaving him and knows about his infidelity. In a bid to salvage something, Chintu and his best friend Fahim Fahim Abdul Rizvi visit Vedika’s parents, only to be confronted with the painful truth in a letter from Vedika herself—she plans to elope with Doga. The trio heads to Doga’s travel agency, where they face rough treatment from Doga’s henchmen, and Chintu’s anger culminates in a drunken outburst that lands him in jail, though Fahim ultimately pays his bail.

The story builds toward a tense climax as Rakesh Yadav arrives with Fahim, bringing news that Vedika is poised to depart for Canada for good. The pursuit leads them to Lucknow Airport, where the tangled loyalties collide: Vedika, Tapasya, and Doga are all present in one place, and the truth behind the infidelity and the choices they’ve made comes into sharp relief. Tapasya, choosing not to take Vedika’s place by force, steps back, letting the moment play out. Chintu learns that Doga’s plan to pull Vedika away was, in part, a test of his own worth, and Vedika ultimately forgives him, sparking a fragile reconciliation.

The film closes on a quiet note of wary resolve. As Chintu returns to his everyday life, a new figure—Neha Khanna—enters his office, signaling the arrival of another potential complication. He initially stares, then stops himself, recognizing that life will continue to surprise him, even as he internally grapples with what he wants, what he’s learned, and what he’s willing to risk for love.
