A man named Arjun Kapoor portrays [Ankur Chadda], who is deeply involved in the real estate industry alongside his father, played by Shakti Kapoor. Despite being married over five years ago to his college sweetheart, Bhumi Pednekar, named [Prabhleen Kaur Dhillon], Ankur continues to battle haunting nightmares and emotional turmoil stemming from his past. These unresolved feelings and experiences have left him unable to form new romantic connections and have significantly affected his ability to trust or maintain meaningful relationships.

The story unfolds as Ankur travels to Rishikesh to finalize a crucial real estate deal. During this trip, he unexpectedly reencounters Rakul Preet Singh, who plays [Antara Khanna], a woman he knew during their college days. Their meeting sparks the possibility of a new chapter in his life, and on the advice of his close friend, Rehan Qureshi, Harsh Gujral, he decides to pursue a relationship with Antara. As they begin to spend time together, they quickly develop a strong bond, sparking hope for a fresh start.

Ankur opens up to Antara about his complicated past, especially about his tumultuous marriage with Prabhleen. Their union was marred by fundamental differences—Prabhleen’s dedication to her career as a journalist and Ankur’s often flamboyant and impulsive personality. However, upon realizing that Ankur has proposed to Antara, Prabhleen becomes determined to win him back, believing that her love for him still endures.

The film provides flashbacks revealing their college rivalry, where both Prabhleen and Antara were rivals who despised each other. In a surprising turn, Prabhleen and Antara come together to decide secretly to compete for Ankur’s love, without his knowledge. During the wedding preparations in Scotland, Prabhleen pretends to be suicidal to gain some moments alone with Ankur. She also manipulates Antara’s parents to include a prenuptial clause that would ensure her financial security should she divorce Antara later. However, her plans are interrupted when she suffers an emotional breakdown after the revelation, and Antara confesses her own struggles with Prabhleen’s manipulative behavior. Feeling betrayed and disillusioned by what he perceives as the game both women are playing with his heart, Ankur cancels the wedding, feeling that both women have treated him like a prize rather than a person deserving of genuine love.

In a heartfelt turn, Prabhleen recognizes her mistakes and understands that Ankur truly cares for Antara.
