Nonsense 2018

Arun, a teenager Rinosh George who was orphaned at a young age, is cared for by his grandfather. While he struggles with schoolwork, especially in physics, he approaches problems with a practical mind that often clashes with classroom expectations. His physics teacher, Shruti Ramachandran as Sheena, is quick to label him a nuisance and dismiss his potential, calling him “nonsense” even as he keeps his cool and refuses to give up.

One morning, Arun befriends an auto driver named Santhosh after he drops him at school. When a bandh disrupts the day and the students are sent home, Sheena asks her colleague Lakshmi to look after her daughter, Jesna, during her absence. Lakshmi leaves Jesna at the beauty parlour reception, and the curious girl slips away to explore. She soon runs into Arun, and the pair form an unexpected friendship.

Things take a dramatic turn when a car strikes Jesna. An alarmed Arun rushes her to the hospital with Santhosh’s help. At the hospital, doctors reveal that Jesna has lost a significant amount of blood and urgently needs a unit of A− Negative blood. Arun and Santhosh begin a tense search for a compatible donor. Meanwhile, Lakshmi learns what happened and hurries to the hospital, informing Sheena of the critical situation.

In a tense reveal, Santhosh confesses that he himself is A− Negative, a fact he had kept hidden out of fear. He steps forward to donate his blood, saving Jesna’s life. Operations succeed, and Jesna is stabilized.

Back at school, Sheena confronts Arun about unfinished homework, but Arun stands his ground and commits to completing his assignments. Before they part, Sheena thanks him for saving her daughter’s life, a moment that shifts the teacher’s view of the quiet student.

The film closes with a poignant vignette: the class leader writes a famous line by Dr. A. P. J.
