Madhav [Uday Kiran] and Sreenu [Jatin Grewal] are best friends, neighborhood football players in Kolkata, united by a shared passion and a stubborn drive to win. Their team clinches the cup in a thrilling final, and the sense of triumph feels complete until disaster strikes: when Sreenu tries to pull Madhav out of an accident, he loses his leg, ending his own football career. To spare both families from a widening rift, Sreenu requests that Madhav keep the true cause of the accident a secret. Inspired by his friend’s sacrifice, Madhav refuses to let the tragedy define him and, through hard work and dedication, rises to take Sreenu’s former captaincy, proving himself as a leader on the field once again. The bond between these two friends remains a constant thread as life moves forward.
During a stay in Goa for a match, Madhav meets Amrutha [Aarthi Agarwal], and a quiet, powerful love begins to bloom. When Amrutha returns home, her family drums up a marriage arrangement with an NRI, but the plan fragments the moment the groom’s father discovers Madhav’s influence and status. The heartbreak is compounded when Amrutha’s heartbroken grandfather [K. Viswanath] dies a few days later, and Amrutha blames Madhav for the turmoil and loss that touch her family. To ease her troubles, Madhav begins sending anonymous gifts and financial help, hoping to light a path through her darkness. Amrutha, desperate to uncover the sender, starts to search for this mysterious benefactor—unaware that the person she most urgently needs to confront is the man she loves.
In a festival moment of Holi, Amrutha’s world collides with truth: she mistakenly believes Sreenu is behind the tokens and proposes marriage to him. Sreenu, unaware of Madhav’s hidden love, accepts the proposal, wanting to bring happiness to his friend’s beloved. When Madhav learns the situation, he rushes to Sreenu’s house and discovers that Amrutha is the bride she longs for, not Sreenu. In a painful but selfless decision, Madhav chooses his friend’s happiness over his own longing, a sacrifice that changes the course of all their lives. He even tries to burn the photos of he and Amrutha in Goa, but his father [Giri Babu] notices the act and confronts him. Madhav persuades his father to keep quiet, avoiding a blow to both families’ reputations and peace.
With the truth partially concealed, Madhav plans to leave town to let the wedding proceed untroubled. He crafts a ruse, claiming a Delhi call-up for the national team, but instead travels to Mumbai, stepping away from the life that binds him to Amrutha. Meanwhile, Sreenu’s father [Venkateswara Rao Paruchuri] discovers the photograph and questions Amrutha about her relationship with the two friends. Amrutha eventually realizes that it was Madhav who helped her all along, not Sreenu, and the two lovers’ fates become intertwined in new, complicated ways. The two friends—Sreenu and Amrutha—head to Mumbai, leaving Madhav to face the consequences of his choice. In the film’s closing moments, Amrutha and Madhav come together, while Sreenu walks away with a quiet, earned sense of satisfaction for having seen his friend’s happiness fulfilled.
