Poovalli Induchoodan Mohanlal is the only son of idealistic High Court Justice Maranchery Karunakara Menon, Thilakan a man whose career and principles are tested to the core. He is shocked to learn that a powerful Home Minister, Manappally Madhavan Nambiar, and his determined ally, DYSP Sankaranarayanan Bheeman Raghu, orchestrated his father’s downfall and framed him to settle a personal score after an earlier corruption case. As a young man, Induchoodan has already earned a top rank in the Civil Service exams, but the political conspiracy costs him his post, while Manappally Sudheeran—Manappally’s younger son—enters the list of civil service trainees, intensifying the family’s influence and the feud.

The truth about the crime gradually surfaces: Ramakrishnan, the son of Mooppil and one of Manappally’s staunch backers, was the real killer. After six years, Madhavan Nambiar, now a former state minister, dies, and Induchoodan is released from prison. He then confronts the elder Manappally Pavithran from stopping the funeral rites of his father at the Bharathapuzha river, sparking a cascade of clashes with Pavithran’s henchmen. Justice Menon and his wife Sharada return to Kerala to take shelter with Induchoodan, and a young woman named Indulekha claims to be Menon’s daughter. Indulekha Kanaka is shaped by manipulation from Manappally’s circle, who want to bend the truth to their advantage, and Menon rejects the allegation, banishing her from the family’s reach.

Circumstances force a reluctant accommodation, and with the encouragement of Manappally Pavithran, Indulekha reluctantly steps forward to reveal her parentage. At first, Induchoodan drives away the protesters, but after learning the truth from his maternal uncle Chandrabhanu Jagathy Sreekumar, he commits to protecting her as a responsible older brother would. In a significant turn, Induchoodan arranges Indulekha’s marriage to his good friend Jayakrishnan Vijayakumar, and he confronts Justice Menon to coax him into acknowledging his daughter’s lineage. Menon, torn by pride and guilt, eventually regrets and quietly confesses to Indulekha.

The morning after, Induchoodan returns to Poovally only to learn that Indulekha has been found dead and Menon is accused of murder. Pavithran’s plan unfolds as he kills Indulekha and coerces Raman Nair to testify against Menon in court, throwing the case into chaos. In the courtroom, Nandagopal Marar Mammootty, a close friend of Induchoodan and a respected Supreme Court lawyer, steps in to defend Menon and exposes the murder plot and the hidden motives of Pavithran and his allies. The truth prevails: Menon is cleared of all charges and released, but the relief is tempered by tragedy and the weight of the past.

In a quiet, tense exchange, Menon admits his faults and asks for forgiveness, even as he contends with the consequences of his misjudgments. As the story moves toward its end, Menon suffers a stroke during the funeral and passes away, leaving Induchoodan with a sense of duty and closure. Pavithran arrives at Menon’s funeral, attempting to taunt Induchoodan and carry out the delayed last rites for his own father, but Induchoodan interrupts, counters the challenge, and exacts a final act of justice. In the aftermath, Induchoodan finds a path toward personal happiness and promises a future with Anuradha Aishwarya Bhaskar, the honest daughter of Mooppil Nair, signaling a hopeful turn after a saga of vengeance, manipulation, and moral reckoning.
