Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan, alias Kaduva, Prithviraj Sukumaran stands at the center of a sprawling, power-fueled saga set in the late 1990s in Pala. Treated with opulence and respect by his circle, he enjoys a seemingly fearless life until a brutal attempt on his life lands him in the district jail in Kottayam. The assault comes at the hands of three goons from the Kottarakkara sub-jail, carried out under the orders of IG Joseph Chandy alias Ousepputty, only to be thwarted by Kaduva’s own toughness. This violent clash marks the beginning of a long and intricate feud that blends personal pride with political leverage, business interests, and old grievances.

Before the arrest, Kaduva’s world is anchored by a loving family: his wife Elsa, and their children Tessa, Eva, and Chacko. The family life he cherishes is set against a backdrop of plenty and influence, a life that will soon be put to the test as the wheels of vendetta begin to turn. Elsa, portrayed by Samyuktha, remains a steady, if unsettled, anchor as the storm starts to rise around him.

The root of the conflict lies in a combustible egos’ clash. Kaduva’s blunt arrogance provokes IG Joseph Chandy, a man who carries deep resentment—especially after Kaduva openly insults Joseph’s son, who has Down syndrome. That slight becomes fuel for a bitter feud, and it isn’t long before the two households become bitter enemies. The animosity is compounded when Joseph’s mother, Theruthi Chettathi, spreads a damaging lie about a piano gifted to the church’s priest, Fr. Robin Poovampura, turning public perception against Kaduva. In turn, Kaduva targets Joseph’s lineage by insulting Joseph’s late father Karikandhathil Chandichayan, cementing a vow of vengeance from Joseph.

Joseph’s reaction reshapes the local power structure. He moves to consolidate authority, transferring cops in Pala and installing new officers to replace them. A key figure among them is an officer whose own family history with Kaduva adds a personal edge to the confrontation. With his leverage, Joseph also buys land once owned by an American family—land that Kaduva had sold—and he closes down Kaduva’s bar, signaling a wider war on Kaduva’s influence. A search warrant hits Kaduva’s home, and an arms-license case brings ASI Johny Antonio into direct contact with him, resulting in a brutal clash that leaves Kaduva briefly detained and his bar license revoked on allegations of spirit smuggling.

Two weeks after Kaduva’s release, a fresh blow comes when Benjamin [Abu Salim] is entangled in the struggle—Benjamin seizes Kaduva’s father’s Ambassador car, and Tessa suffers a leg fracture. Tessa’s subsequent disclosure that Robin harmed Elsa escalates the matter, forcing Kaduva to promise not to escalate the conflict further. The tension widens when Kaduva learns that Dominic, a police official, had assaulted Victor’s friend just as he planned to file a formal complaint against Benjamin and other officers, further broadening the circle of rivals and betrayals.

Amid these personal battles, political upheaval swells in the background. Ananthanathan is ousted from the Chief Minister post amid accusations of corruption, and it is revealed that Kaduva had earlier met Sunny, Leena’s classmate, during a prison stay. With Sunny’s help, Kaduva negotiates a deal with Francis and Thomman to produce video evidence of the party’s corruption in exchange for money and leadership changes, even selling part of his estate to finance the move. Thomman eventually becomes Chief Minister and Sunny is released from prison, intensifying the power dynamics further.

Kaduva’s physical and strategic prowess comes to the fore as he brutalizes Robin and casts him into a church well, and he uses the political machinery to freeze Joseph’s promotion to ADGP. The conflict culminates in a brutal confrontation where Kaduva not only defeats Dominic but regains his father’s Ambassador car, a symbol of his enduring claim to prestige and control.

The plot thickens as a raid looms and Joseph attempts to move goods to a plantation, only to have the scheme uncovered and Joseph suspended. In a moment of desperation, Joseph hires a goon from a mental asylum to silence Kaduva at a church festival. The attempt fails as Kaduva overpowers the threat and his enemies, leaving Joseph briefly cornered before an eventual collapse into corruption charges. With leverage from the video meeting, Kaduva uses threats of exposure to secure a “lifetime commitment” from Thomman and Paul, ensuring his position remains precariously intact as the feud promises to continue beyond the film’s closing beat.

Throughout, the film threads a careful balance of ambition, loyalty, and retribution, painting a portrait of a man whose confidence and swagger draw him into a war where personal history, political ambition, and the law intertwine. The result is a sprawling, character-driven drama that keeps the pace relentless even as it navigates the moral ambiguities and consequences of a battle fought on multiple fronts.
