What Is Music in Manhattan About?

The premise of Music in Manhattan without spoilers.

Frankie Foster and Stanley Benson are modest performers who win an amateur talent contest, earning a few gigs but still lacking star power. To raise cash, Frankie heads to Washington, D.C. to seek help from her wealthy father. En route she is mistaken for the wife of pilot Johnny Pearson, taken to his suite and forced to pretend she is his spouse. When Johnny finally meets her, real romantic sparks fly.
