Miraculous World: New York, United HeroeZ Echo Score Breakdown
The special generates strong enthusiasm overall, anchored by striking visual execution and emotionally resonant moments. Reviewers repeatedly commend the realistic lighting, vibrant animation, and the chemistry between the main duo, while also noting the appeal of new characters and a dynamic soundtrack. Criticisms focus on a uneven scenario, modest design of the New York heroes, and a desire for a longer runtime. In sum, the positive aspects outweigh the flaws, yielding a largely favorable impression.
Our own 0–100 rating, built from five aspects: art, character, story, the sensory experience and how well a film rewatches.
- Art & Craft 88
In terms of art and craft, the visual presentation stands out with praised lighting, realistic albedo effects, and dazzling animation. Reviewers highlight the sunrise over the plane and the striking shot composition, though some consider the New York hero designs simplistic. Overall, the direction and production design are viewed as high quality, contributing positively to the viewing experience.
- Character & Emotion 78
Character and emotional depth receive mixed but generally positive feedback. Fans celebrate the chemistry between the protagonists, the romance, and the engaging new characters, while a few express dislike for the main duo or voice casting choices. The performances are described as nuanced enough to sustain audience investment, despite occasional concerns about character dynamics.
- Story & Flow 70
Story and flow are regarded as engaging yet imperfect. The plot’s pacing and darker thematic elements are praised for adding depth, and many find the overall narrative entertaining. However, some reviewers criticize a poorly developed scenario and wish for a longer runtime to fully explore plot threads. Consequently, the story is seen as solid but not flawless.
- Sensory Experience 82
Sensory experience is largely commended, with the soundtrack and sound design enhancing the emotional tone. Reviewers note the impressive musical score and effective use of lighting, though occasional voice acting inconsistencies are mentioned. The visual style remains cohesive, and the auditory elements generally reinforce the special’s atmosphere.
- Rewatch Factor 85
Rewatch factor is high, as many fans describe the special as replayable and emotionally satisfying, with several stating they have watched it multiple times. The combination of humor, action, and beloved characters drives repeat viewings. Only a minority of low‑rating reviewers suggest limited replay interest, but the overall appetite for revisiting the special is strong.
