Kamala Khan [Kathreen Khavari] is a teenager in Jersey City who is also an Inhuman with shapeshifting abilities, living a double life as the superhero Ms. Marvel. She idolizes Captain Marvel, yet the pull of heroism clashes with her mother’s practical worries, and Kamala struggles with the rough edges of being a rookie in a world that’s watching. Bold dreams meet everyday limits as she tries to balance school, family, and the impulse to leap into danger before she’s ready.

Her best friend, Doreen Green [Milana Vayntrub], a fellow hero known as Squirrel Girl, stands by Kamala as they navigate the early days of crime-fighting. The pair stops a thief in the park who turns out to be Dante Pertuz [Tyler Posey], a man who can control and manipulate fire. Their encounter is more than a chase—it’s a doorway into a larger web of Inhuman activity. They also meet Victor Kohl [BooBoo Stewart], who is tracking Dante and warns that some people intend to weaponize Inhumans rather than protect them.

Shortly after, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Quake and Patriot arrive—Daisy Johnson [Chloe Bennet] and Rayshaun Lucas [Kamil McFadden]—to investigate a string of violent Inhuman incidents. The agents’ arrival adds pressure and purpose, pushing Kamala and Doreen to chase down Victor and Dante and to prove that Inhumans can be heroes, not threats. A few days later, an accidental gas explosion on a city street forces a wary alliance among Kamala, Doreen, America Chavez [Cierra Ramirez], and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team as they learn to trust one another in the face of danger.

Quake is briefly put in custody for actions taken during the investigation, and Kamala experiences a painful memory of the Terrigen bomb that activated her powers. Suspicion ripples through the group as Kamala weighs whether Dante’s fear of his power is the same fear she sometimes feels. Victor makes a bold offer to Kamala, inviting her to join his cause, but when she declines, he transforms into his formidable persona, Exile, and reveals that he’s working for Hala the Accuser [Ming-Na Wen], who is scouting Inhumans to ally with the Kree. Exile kidnaps Kamala, and she vanishes through a portal.

Doreen, America, Patriot, and the rest spring into action to locate Kamala. They rescue Quake from custody, and she joins the search, revealing she herself is an Inhuman as well. They team up with Lockjaw [Dee Bradley Baker], a teleporting giant bulldog, and Captain Marvel [Kim Raver] lends her resources to the mission. The rescue culminates in Kamala and Dante being held on a spaceship, forced to fight each other to protect their families; instead, they decide to stand together to outsmart Hala and escape. The two allies also rescue other captive Inhumans and continue to battle Exile and Hala, until Captain Marvel and the broader team arrive to turn the tide. Hala is expelled into space and Exile is defeated, though the ship sustains damage. Returning to Earth, Kamala is relieved to be back, and Captain Marvel encourages her to forge her own path rather than simply following in her idol’s footsteps.

In the wake of the mission, Kamala and Doreen repair their friendship, and a new sense of purpose takes root. The group uncovers a secret headquarters, and Kamala, Doreen, Dante, America, Quake, Patriot, and Lockjaw form an unofficial superhero team under Captain Marvel’s guidance. Quake is named the leader as they prepare for clandestine training, calling themselves the Secret Warriors. Kamala looks forward to learning more about Inhumans and discovering their true purpose, while the team begins its quiet, underground work.

Meanwhile, Captain Marvel meets with Captain America, who is pleased to see Patriot stepping out of his shadow. He signals interest in collaborating with this underground network of heroes, hinting at a broader future where these young champions might play a pivotal role in protecting both Inhumans and the world at large.
